We have a new class ready to teach!
Chaos Rope
Bondage Without a Pattern
A discussion of an unstructured style of free-form rope-topping suitable for tops at any level of experience. Instead of relying on patterns and planning, this unpredictable style of rope depends on communication between tying partners and an open attitude to go where the rope takes you. Basic safety and vocabulary knowledge are helpful.

This class has actually been a long time coming. As I've started tying rope more and more, I have definitely started to develop a style. I don't stick to patterns for very long - I'll start one, but then go off half-cocked to do something else. Maybe a reaction from my bottom to one movement makes me want to do more of that. Or the rope just doesn't feel right going in one direction, so I take it in some other direction. Everything is spur of the moment, go where the rope takes me. My friends have started calling it Chaos Rope.
I have other bondage classes for basic knowledge, for bottoming to rope, and for improvised bondage, but when I sat down to create one for Chaos Rope, it was a little harder. How do you break down and talk about something that is, at the heart of it, just improvising?
So we started talking about it before, during, and after many rope scenes, and a few common themes began to show themselves. Constriction, sometimes to create difficulty breathing, other times just for the sensitivity it creates. Restriction of movement, where the bottom is unable to move, or unable to control movement I might do to them. Vulnerability, where parts of the body are exposed for other kinds of play. And Physical Discomfort, where the bondage itself causes pain, sometimes through predicaments, other times through odd body positions or using weights. So that gave me a rough outline.
With each theme, I did a tying session with one of my favorite folks that focused on that theme, for the purpose of getting a picture for my presentation. I've enjoyed creating those, posting the photographs on FetLife, and I'll get to continue sharing those for my class going forward.
Well, my Chaos Rope class is ready to teach. If you have a group of folks ready for me to present to, drop me a message and let's talk!
